Institute of Agrologists

The Newfoundland and Labrador Institute of Agrologists (NLIA) is an organization made up of professional agrology practitioners within Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) who have recognized degrees and/or diplomas in the agricultural sciences field and have a demonstrated capacity for providing safe and effective agronomic advice.

Professional agrologists (P.Ag’s) are essential partners in the NL agricultural community. As stakeholders in the industry, P.Ag’s are important resources for crop and livestock selection and production, pest management, sustainability, soil health, and food safety. All certified agrologists are sanctioned by the Agrologists Act, as adopted in 2013.
