Guidance
and Support
for Agrologists in Training
Mentorship
A P.Ag. Mentor provides guidance and support to the A.I.T. through the three years that they are articulating. The mentor will touch base with the A.I.T throughout the year to answer questions, give direction and ensure learning objectives are met.
Mentors will encourage participation in Institute meetings, events and any other activities that will be beneficial to the candidate. Emphasis will be placed on the area of practice that most suits the A.I.T.’s chosen field of study in addition to supplementary materials from other areas of practice to round out the candidate’s exposure.
Annually, the mentor will present the candidate’s progress to the NLIA Council for approval and present an action plan for the upcoming year.
